Frequently asked questions
I can't sign in / "Network Error"
1. Check internet connection. 2. Force-quit and reopen the app. 3. If you signed in with Apple or Google, make sure you're using the same provider as before — they create separate accounts. 4. Still stuck? Email us with your account email.
Nearby restaurants aren't showing up
W2E needs location permission to find restaurants near you. Open iOS Settings → W2E → Location → While Using the App (or Android Settings → Apps → W2E → Permissions → Location) and grant access. Then pull-to-refresh inside the app.
Why can't I see reviews at a restaurant?
W2E uses a fair-contribution model: post 1 photo or review at a place to unlock all reviews at that place. Post 3 anywhere to unlock all reviews globally. This keeps the community contributing instead of lurking.
How does group matching work?
Create a session, invite friends with a code or QR. Each member swipes through nearby restaurants. When everyone matches on the same place, the session locks in that pick. No one's preference dominates — everyone votes equally.
Live location sharing — who can see me?
Only the friends in your active session, and only while the session is active. Location stops sharing automatically when the session ends or you leave it. We never share location outside an active session.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app → Profile tab → Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your posts, reviews, friends, and personal data within 30 days, per our Privacy Policy. You can also email us at kairos.ai.tech@gmail.com from your account email and we'll process the deletion manually.
How do I report a user or review?
Tap the ••• menu on any user profile, post, or review to report content that violates our community guidelines. We review reports within 24 hours and act per our zero-tolerance policy on harassment, spam, and illegal content.
Reservations & restaurant info are wrong
Restaurant details (hours, address, photos) come from Google Maps. If something looks wrong, we can't edit it directly — please report it to Google Maps. For W2E-side issues like a missing place, email us with the restaurant name and city.
Can I use W2E outside Taiwan / my country?
Yes. W2E works anywhere Google Maps Places coverage exists. The app supports 11 languages (English, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese-BR, Vietnamese, Indonesian).
Refunds for in-app purchases
W2E doesn't currently sell in-app purchases or subscriptions. If you were charged unexpectedly, please request a refund through Apple Report a Problem or Google Play, and email us so we can investigate.
Privacy & data requests (GDPR / CCPA)
To request a copy of your data, deletion, or correction, email kairos.ai.tech@gmail.com from your account email with subject "Data Request". We respond within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
